How to Watch Netflix Content from Anywhere in the World

Stream the Netflix Content from anywhere in the World in three Steps

Netflix content is geo-locked to computers in the US. Yet there is an easy way around it! To Stream Netflix outside of the US you just need to make the Netflix website think that your computer is in the US. This is very easy by means of a VPN and takes just a minute or two to setup. When you connect to the Netflix website it looks at your IP address and figures out where your internet traffic is coming from (you can check your location here.) All we are going to do is add one more stop along the path of your internet traffic on its way to the Netflix servers.

Step 1: Sign up for a VPN Account

I recommend the aptly named VPN provider Hide My Ass, Inc This is the same software that people use all over the world to get around office web filters, internet censorship (the Chinese government being the most notorious) and sporting event blackouts. This method has been used to watch the Olympics and the World Cup from all over the world.

You want to signup for Pro VPN from HMA It will cost you $10 for the first month, but you can choose to try one month and then renew at any time and also you can pay with Paypal so it will only take a few seconds if you are lazy like me and don't want to enter in your Credit Card information.

Step 2: Download the VPN Software

After you sign up you will get a confirmation email and you will be able to login to your user account Here you have the option to download the Mac OS X, Windows 7 or Linux package you want to use.

Step 3: Connect to the VPN

After Downloading and Installing the Software, launch the application on your computer, enter in your username and password, and select 'USA - Virginia' from the drop down list of countries. Then click Connect to VPN and you are now in the USA. So sit back and relax, grab a Bud Light, some deep fried nachos and watch Netflix just like you were at home in your American living room.

You should notice that now when you check your location it shows that you are located in the United States. If you want to "return" to your original location just disconnect from the VPN. Leave a comment below letting us know where you were able to stream from!
